Job description
Are you interested in developing project management and system design skills? Do you have a passion for working to develop and deliver efficient and high quality mental health, community health, primary care, wellbeing and inpatient services? Then we have a great opportunity to join our newly developed Service Implementation Team.
We are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to support the establishment of new services within the Trust. These roles would suit individuals with the ability to work proactively with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will be embedded in the Commercial Development Directorate and work in collaboration with our Business Development, Contracts and Procurement teams as well as with our frontline clinical service staff, service users and operational leads across ELFT, giving you a good overview of the whole system.
As a Project Support Officer you will support teams to mobilise new services by providing project support to boards and work streams, supporting the recruitment into the service, arranging project meetings and generating and updating project management materials. This will be a central coordinating role and therefore high levels of organisation and being a strong communicator are a must.
We are looking for someone who has a proactive approach to project management; looking ahead at key tasks and identifying where you can add value, taking initiative to ensure that timelines are met and service leads feel supported and able to focus on their day jobs.
The project support officer will support the project manager for service implementation to ensure the timely mobilisation of all contracted services. Working closely with operational leads, corporate services and commissioners. The key delivery areas will include
- Providing project management support for the delivery of business cases from approval to full service deployment
- Coordinating the roll out of project work streams including recruitment, estates, digital, finance, contracts and pathways
- Facilitating and monitoring the delivery of each work stream within specific timescales. The post holder will undertake this work in conjunction with project work stream leads, senior clinicians and managers and other internal and external stakeholders.
It’s a truly exciting time to join and help to shape a new team that aims to ensure that ELFT can mobilise high quality services effectively and efficiently. This will ensure that our service users can access high quality, innovative mental health services that are more integrated, more holistic, more accessible, leading to better experience and outcomes.
We hope you will consider joining us to be a part of this change.
We warmly welcome applications from the veteran community.
