Job description
Health and care partner organisations across South Yorkshire are committed to the delivery of improved health outcomes for the residents of the region through development and delivery of a world class health and care system.
There are four places across South Yorkshire: Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield working together in an Integrated Care System. Workstreams are taking place at both place level and South Yorkshire level to co-ordinate care in the most effective way. There are shared objectives based upon delivery of the triple aim of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement:
Improve population health
Improve care and quality
Close the finance and sustainability gap
It is recognised that transformation in mental health services is an essential requirement in delivering these objectives, and that a strategic approach to organising solutions is needed. Poor mental health is associated with decreased social relationships and resilience and people with autism and/or learning disabilities have much higher rates of mental illness than the general population.
