Job description
SQL Server Developers - Edinburgh / Scotland - Banking
Work as part of the SQL Server development team on the end to end development of new and existing data feeds, data processes, data layers and reporting.
Analyse source data to determine the feasibility of using the particular data feed within data solution.- Design and develop robust, scalable and maintainable ETL processes to move and manipulate data.
- Design and develop database objects, including stored procedures and functions.
- Optimise database structures, architecture and code to maximise performance, scalability and reliability.
Further detail / Nice to haves -
- Querying SQL Server databases (preferred), or any other relational databases (e.g. TeraData, Oracle etc)
- SQL Server development covering development of databases, stored procedures and performance tuning
- Loading and transforming data
- Working with large and complex datasets
- Developing reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI or Tableau
- Knowledge of relational database concepts and methodologies
- Experience of agile scrum methodology
