Band 4 – Pay £25,914 - £28,187- Duration 37.5 hrs per week

Duties & responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join the Digital Intervention Team for Psychology, Royal Edinburgh and Associated Services (REAS).
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Support Officer who is interested in helping to deliver projects as part of the development of psychological services.
The role requires excellent IT skills and experience of working with databases, whilst providing effective and efficient project/administration support to the Project Manger and the Digital Intervention Team.
Other requirements of the role will include:
- Supporting the team with the management of workflow to meet strict deadlines and Scottish Government targets.
- Provide leadership to support the project assistants and meet team objectives.
- Gathering information and undertaking enquires with the co-ordination and delegation of tasks to meet team objectives
- Supporting team capacity to enable practical activities, information gathering and process management
- Technical skills for updating websites
- Providing skills and a full range of higher-level administration to support the delivery of projects and services.
Key requirements:
Essential –Have a friendly manner with good interpersonal skills, be motivated to achieve results, have the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, have a positive attitude to change.
With an HND level qualification in business administration or other relevant subject and experience in a similar role.
Excellent and proficient use of Microsoft Office software, specifically in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint – Intermediate level.
You will be able to demonstrate effective negotiating and problem-solving skills, with a high level of initiative. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a self-starter able to use your own initiative and prioritise your workload to ensure that deadlines are met. You will be able to pay attention to detail and have a ‘can do’ attitude to get things done.
Have the ability to present data to large groups both internal and external to NHS Lothian including the use of PowerPoint.
Evidence excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to empathise. Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and patients.
Flexibility to meet last minute demands is also essential. Experience of working in an NHS environment would be an advantage.
Further information:
REAS provides a range of Mental Health services to the population of Lothian and other Boards within Scotland. A number of these services are provided on the Royal Edinburgh Hospital (REH) site.
Please note this role will initially be based at the Western General Hospital but with a view to move to Royal Edinburgh Hospital to merge with Adult Mental Health Psychological Services
