The purpose of this role is to act as the ‘voice of the customer’ by ensuring that any product during development or current product maintenance is embedded from design through to consumption throughout the Products Life Cycle. This is achieved by having the role as a governance over the new product development process (NPD) managing gate milestones primarily during the ‘execution’ phase and being the guardian of Customer Quality for all Live Products.
Skills
Degree in a technical discpline (preferential degree in Engineering or Food Sectors).
5 years’ experience in Quality Management.
Experience in quality leadership and proven ability to work effectively across functions.
Previous experience and knowledge of food or vending is a plus.
Understanding of new product development process.

Project Governance responsibilities:
- Ensure that the existing minimum design requirements list is met in the design requirements specification and any intentional deviations agreed up front.
- Defines, identifies, and bridges gaps of missing requirements through facilitation of internal/external benchmarking activities from a consumer perspective.
· Provides detail of the problems encountered in operation and the related action plan to monitor new projects and avoid a repetition of the same critical issues in collaboration with the Quality Manager of products in development.
· Evaluation of methods and criteria for ‘fit for purpose’ of the design verification plan (DVP) in collaboration with R&D. Also ensures the defined quality requirements are achievable through the design verification plan where applicable.
· Formally agree and assess the project technical deliverables through each governance gate.
- Oversees all product development activities to identify deviations from quality targets, managing escalations to R&D technical departments and business.
- Ensures project adherence to company quality KPI.
- Monitor quality targets and mitigation of action plans that must be achieved for design and industrialisation phase of new product development through to SOP (Start of Production).
Provide a final recommendation to Quality and Procurement Director on readiness to launch at final development stage gate.
