The Opportunity
Our North Energy & Advisory team is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy and are looking for Project Controls Manager who will be responsible for a variety of project management activities with an emphasis on schedule management and project controls.
Our Energy business is focused on supporting Scotland and the UK’s energy industry in delivering a net zero carbon economy, while developing a hub of expertise in Industrial Decarbonisation & Hydrogen, Offshore Energy, Urban Energy & Future Energy Systems to support Arup’s global clients. Our growing Advisory service offering includes an increasingly diverse P&P capability offering PMO, Project Controls, design integration, and strategic delivery advice to clients in the Energy, Water, Transport, and Science and Industry sectors.
The North region with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast and Newcastle is engaged with the wider Arup network, delivering projects in a diverse range of market sectors. The individual will be closely networked with Arup’s national P&P and energy teams and will have access to a breadth and depth of specialist expertise
The successful individual will support consulting and advisory services for public and private sector clients across the energy market, with a particular focus on Project Controls Management supporting the following areas; Programme development and management (prior Primavera P6 experience is desirable), Progress reporting, Cost control, Change Control, Resource and cost management & Project status reporting
You also will Support as appropriate on a range of business development activities including preparation of tender submissions and strategy development
Is this role right for you?
We are keen to speak to individuals that have:
- Project controls / planning experience ideally within the infrastructure / energy sectors alongwith Primavera P6 experience
- Experience of suporting projects through design stages along with managing cost, schedule & progress reporting
- A Degree in a related engineering, project management or other subject
- Achieved Chartership or are working towards chartership from a recognised institution
