What does a Project Officer (Planned Works) do at Hillingdon?
This is a key role within the Planned Works Team responsible for delivering planned and cyclical maintenance works and improvement programmes on all LBH Housing stock. This includes developing specifications, tenders and contracts for major repairs and improvements as well as supervising contractors and consultants to ensure that work is undertaken to high standards, within time and budget constraints.
Responsible for day-to-day liaison with tenants, contractors, as well as specialists and other internal departments within the council, to agree prices and installation deadlines. Responsible for supervising and checking the work complies with current legislation and advice from central government and other statutory bodies.
About you
As a member of a commercially driven team, you will have experience of delivering an improved return on significant housing assets whilst providing a responsive, high quality planned works technical service.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve improved value for money and significant savings for the Department, you'll have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads.
