Job description

About the vacancy

The UWE Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences seeks to appoint a Project Officer in Healthcare Technology & Social Care to work on a research project. The post holder will assist in project administration, data collection and processing and stakeholder engagement work across various strands of the project.

The successful candidate will be part of an innovative 3-year project jointly funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Autistica.

The main aim of the project is to help more autistic people get a job in the UK. We will invite autistic people to use Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to practise having job interviews and experience the first days at a new job. This will help them to know what to expect, be less anxious and make it easier getting and keeping jobs.

We welcome and especially encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, and from any minority group.

About you:

Working with the project team, the Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating research and stakeholder engagement work, working with the project principal investigator, co-investigators, and project partners. This will involve a high degree of autonomous work, with the potential to help shape the project in creative and innovative ways. The Project Officer will have the potential to make a mark on an important and timely area of innovation and policy.
