Our client is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager – Transport, on an initial 4 month contract working remotely.

Transport Project Manager
£500 per day inside IR35
Cambridgeshire – Remote

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Project Manager within the delivery of transport projects. You will ideally have experience in road pricing, demand management and/or public transport policies, have worked within the public sector (Government / Department for Transport, Local Authorities) and be confident leading major projects. Within the role you will provide project management and leadership to consultancy teams on a programme aimed at both increasing road space for public transport and active travel whilst generating a revenue stream for ongoing public transport subsidy.

Key duties

• Act as lead client-side PM to check and challenge project teams work packages, proposals and costs.
• Check and challenge transport model and other technical workstream outputs
• Technical review of emerging Outline Business Case incorporating response to recent public consultation. Including associated technical documents and impact assessments.
• Attend monthly finance meetings. Work with consultant PMs to establish (and scrutinise) contract budgets.
• Attend monthly Transport Programme Board meetings to update colleagues on progress and in turn receive updates.
