CAN Ltd are recruiting for a Project Manager to join their Renewables team.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates who live near, or are willing to locate near to the Chesterfield office. Candidates in other locations will be considered, however travel to the office will be required.
This is a permanent, full time role.
Project types may include a mix of; solar PV and wind generation, ground source, air source or water source heat pumps, heat recovery systems, biomass, building efficiency, energy assessments, battery storage, power management, carbon assessments, biodiversity, EV charging. Or any number of other sustainability linked services that the RSK group offers its clients.
We are not looking for an expert on any one of these fields but want a project manager with a keen interest in sustainability and renewables with some knowledge in one or more field and the desire and ability to learn.
Working for the CAN Renewables and for the broader RSK Group the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the coordination of group renewables and sustainability services. Taking a renewables project from initial enquiry through to design and construction and ultimately, operation.
Responsibilities
- Liaison with client, scoping of project and coordination of internal resource to achieve the desired outcome
- Programme and financial management and reporting
- Working with bidding teams to bid for and win work opportunities
- Overall management of health and safety on the project
- Involvement in client contract negotiation and internal procurement
- Production of high-level feasibility reports as well as collation and submission of more detailed quotations and design proposals.
- Procurement of services, equipment and anything else required to facilitate the successful delivery of the project.
Person specification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in a related field
- Degree level or equivalent qualification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A candidate with a proven track record of making things happen
- Some experience in one or more of the fields represented in the role description
