Job position.
Entrepreneurial Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to join a busy Architects and Project Management consultancy in our central London office. This position would suit an ambitious Quantity Surveyor with business acumen that wants to work in an interesting role where they can really feel like they are making a difference and their hard work is rewarded both financially and through job satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties
In this role, you will be responsible for a full range of duties including pre and post contract work as well as generally assisting the business unit to steadily grow the business. Some typical duties will include:
Pre-Contract
- Budgets
- Cost Planning
- Value Engineering
- Procurement
- Risk Management
Post Contract
- Contract Administration
- Variations
- Cost monitoring and Cost Reporting
- Final account
Business support (with back up from admin and accounts)
- Client fee administration
- Client relations
- Fee proposals and invoicing
- Project management
Desired Skills and Experience
- Shown experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the commercial sector. Consultant/ client side.
- Cost Planning Experience
- Pre and Post Contract Quantity Surveying experience
- Good communication skills.
- Self-Motivated and proactive attitude
- Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline is desired
- Chartered status (MRICS) is preferred however we would welcome candidates who are on route to complete this.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
