The Process Accountable Manager (PAM) for PDI is responsible for leading and optimising the various processes related to New Product Development, continual enhancement and improvement of our current product, Optional Excursions development, improvement, creation and pricing, online tour product, product training and handover processes between functions and processes. The PAM will play a crucial role in ensuring that the organisation's processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

For Process

  • Analyze the efficiency and costs of existing business processes.
  • Identifying areas of process improvement and lead improvement effortsRun the daily huddles and weekly meetings to establish effective communication and ensure project execution.
  • Serve as the point of contact for delivery teams (clusters) within the process.
  • Provide reports to the management team by gathering , analysing and summarising relevant information
  • Report on team members performance within the process.
  • Collaborate with the other organisational PAMs through regular meetings and huddles to ensure you are working consistently as a team of PAM’s.

For Projects

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Coordinate, monitor and track project progress.
  • Perform quality control on the various projects throughout their development to maintain high quality standards.
  • Ensure all projects within the process are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Measure project performance using Asana.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • A background in the travel industry, in either scheduled touring or cruise is essential.
  • Experience working in travel product development is critical, applicants without a working knowledge of travel products will not be considered
  • In addition to this, applicants should have the following skills:

Project Management Skills:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor PDI projects.
  • Ensure all who work within the PDI process are accountable for high quality work that meets deadlines
  • Certification and working knowledge and understanding of Agile principles and methodologies is advantageous, particularly if you have implemented Agile principles within an existing structure

Strong Communication Skills:

  • Proficient in understanding and articulating stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to convey PDI strategies and gain alignment.
  • Skilled in presenting strategies to obtain buy-in and support across the organisation.

Leadership Abilities:

  • Inspire and motivate departments across the organisation
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in our PDI process

Strategic Thinking:

  • Strong analytical skills to identify pain points and areas for optimization.
  • Anticipate trends and potential issues to proactively enhance processes.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Proficient in leveraging data to understand process performance and employee feedback.
  • Extract actionable insights to drive improvements in processes and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal data functions to ensure access to relevant data.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

  • Adept at identifying challenges and finding innovative solutions.
  • Make informed decisions that balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Drive improvements in processes through effective problem-solving techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £37,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Project Management: 1 year (preferred)
  • Product development: 1 year (required)
  • Travel Industry: 5 years (preferred)
