Job description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join one of our prestigious clients based in Stoke-on-Trent!

The successful candidate will deliver planned maintenance and perform corrective and reactive repairs to ensure site equipment is optimised, keeping down time to a minimum.

What you’ll be doing

• PPM and reactive maintenance
• Mechanical repairs on site machinery such as bottling machines, glucose silo’s, freezers, chillers, steam boilers, labelling machines, bag filling machines, conveyors etc
• Ensure site equipment is improved and modified as necessary to maximise performance and reduce production downtime
• Complete risk assessments
• Provide updates on any maintenance issues, compliance, live defects etc
• Support machine set-up and changeovers
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently
• Support the engineering department
• Report directly into the Engineering Manager

Hours

Days = 1st Week = 6:00am-2:30pm / 2nd Week = 10:00am-20:30pm

Pay

£45,000 per annum

Skills/Experience Required

• Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment is essential
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• Health & Safety awareness
• Able to identify and repair faults in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
