As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead and promote the IRIS project* building and maintaining effective relationships with GP practices
  • Provide training for GP Practice staff teams on understanding, recognising, and responding to domestic abuse
  • Encourage GP Practice staff teams to ask patients about their experiences and provide ongoing specialist advice and support
  • Manage a team of staff, overseeing all aspects of operations and working collaboratively with internal and external partners to enable the achievement of PTMWA's Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan

To be successful as a Project Manager you will need to:

  • Have a minimum of GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
  • Have a Line Management qualification e.g., ILM or recent relevant experience
  • Recent significant experience of undertaking direct work with vulnerable people
  • An understanding of risk and needs assessments and support planning
  • An excellent level of understanding of the nature and impact of direct and indirect discrimination
  • An excellent working knowledge of statutory and legal provisions around domestic abuse, health and safety, and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
  • Knowledge of case management systems
  • Understanding and awareness of child protection, vulnerable adult’s protection and safeguarding
  • Experience of delivering training to professionals
  • An understanding of how to make safeguarding referrals.
  • Be an excellent communicator both written and spoken, and be an empathetic team player
  • Have excellent levels of numeracy, literacy, report writing and IT skills
