Job description
The Project Management team sits within the Investment Strategy Management department; it is responsible for Co-ordination of investment change to deliver complex client events.
The job holder will take ownership for complex investment projects, utilising professional project management techniques and engaging with Fund Management, Distribution and other colleagues, including senior stakeholders, across the organisation as required to ensure successful investment outcomes.
What you'll be doing- Providing co-ordination or advisory support for complex / high risk investment change events, stakeholder engagement (internal/external) and runbook development/ planning and implementation.
- Acting as investment workstream lead for significant client or business driven change
- Identifying and coordinating delivery of actions from investment teams for in specie product events (launches, mergers etc…)
- Ensuring that procedures are adhered to. Fully engaged regarding risk, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Providing both technical expertise and market knowledge when required either pre / during or post a restructure. Support Client Directors when planning a chnage
- Provide internal education and share best practice on the issues and costs of restructuring mandates
- Help with the design and development of strategic and tactical IT solutions
- Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end investment process
- Strong problem solving skills and creative thinker with the ability to generate progressive and innovative solutions
- Proven track record of successful co-ordination and project management, some complex, in an investment context
- Experience of nurturing and promoting effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to generate positive outcomes
- Proven strength of ability to organise and chair project meetings; driving the agenda and ensuring the completion of follow-up items.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Dynamic individual with outcome-oriented outlook
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to non-standard challenges
- High attention to detail/ accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage a number of events simultaneously
- Pro-active improvement of existing processes
- Working collaboratively within Investment Strategy Management department and across LGIM
Desirable:
- Good understanding of LDI and OTC instruments is preferred
- Experience in asset manager and/or fund management
- Knowledge of Charles River would be desirable (not essential)
