What you'll be doing.
As an LNER Digital Project Manager you will be asked to take the lead on ensuring that assigned projects are delivered to time, budget and quality with benefits realised in-line with business cases.
You will be responsible for the overall delivery of projects in line with our ways of working, ensuring that stakeholders are managed effectively, key activities are identified and tracked, and budgets are controlled.

- You'll be responsible for specific projects from initiation through to the end delivery taking into consideration the planning, coordination, implementation, execution, and control of the full digital project. In a nutshell you will own the full project life cycle.
- Projects will need to be delivered ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
- You will be proactively managing dependencies, overcoming obstacles, and getting the best value against constraints.
- You'll need to be great at working with key stakeholders as you will be delivering projects to agreed timescales, and to budget ensuring the stakeholders feel like customers who have visibility and control.
- You'll need to be proactive with risk and issue management to minimise delays to project timescales.
- You will need strong financial management abilities as you will be the owner of project budgets ensuring there are no over/under spends beyond the agreed tolerances.
- You will be responsible for managing the handover to BAU, so production stability is maintained.
- As a leader you will be building and maintaining motivated teams, making sure there is an iterative plan for them to work towards.
- You'll support the Digital Programme Manager in planning, coordinating, and tracking the progress of projects.
- You'll be reporting on and measuring the success of projects and work streams (both customer and business benefits, including CSAT impacts, revenue, and cost)
- You will develop continuous improvement project schemes, inclusive of EFQM/Lean project management.
- You'll be supporting the wider business with obtaining and maintaining a secondary competence role for the purpose of contingency planning.
What you'll need:
- To have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role
- The ability to manage and lead a variety of stakeholders at all levels
- To be business focused with an air of creativity
- Have business development and negotiation experience
- Experience in budget management and controls
- Be able to develop complex plans managing multiple suppliers and dependencies
- To have strong influencing and communication skills
- To have strong collaborative skills and be a team player
- Have a strong people leadership track record
- Prince2 or equivalent
- EFQM/Lean Six Sigma
- To have affinity with the LNER brand values
