The role
We are currently looking to recruit a full time Project Manager-Delivery (Construction Project Manager)
The role is full time, 35 hours a week and as with all of our roles, we are happy to talk flexible working arrangements including our 9-day fortnight.
Within the role you will have responsibility for Project Management of multiple multi-million pound construction projects with critical emphasis on providing specialist technical leadership for the design, construction and delivery of specific development projects to time and budget. To meet key milestones and objectives and building effective working relationships internally across the organisation and with Consultants, Contractors, Local Authorities, Homes England and others.
The post holder will be a recognised delivery project manager able to solve complex problems.
What we’re looking for
Excellent knowledge of construction standards, regulation and legislation including Health & Safety and proven experience of managing these at a senior level- Excellent IT skills and used to working with Microsoft functionalities, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge and experience of different forms of building contracts, familiarity with a range of building construction processes, experience of building refurbishment and new-build constructions
- Knowledge of planning policy and legislation and their influence on housing development
- Knowledge of Homes England funding and development procedures and relevant legislation
- Knowledge and experience of different types of Legal Agreements for Statutory Authorities
- Extensive experience of successful housing development, managing resources and delivering projects
- A track record of project management and negotiation
- Experience of supervising, monitoring and managing a team of professional and technical staff
- Experience in using project management software, word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- A relevant professional qualification and/or degree in construction
