As a Continuous Improvement Supervisor, you will:
Continuous improvement Supervisor monitors and improves organizational processes with the aim of making them as efficient as possible by mapping out all workflows, removing waste, low-value activities, support operations and other departments within the unit to drive and sustain change.Subject Matter Expert on lean methodology, lean principles and lean problem solving tools.
Through lean manufacturing principals, high shop floor presence and a high energy approach, actively lead the team to deliver manufacturing efficiency increases of 10% year on year and actively work to increase site VIP savings.
Lead, sustain and improve the scrap reduction project.
Collaborate with the UMT to identify and drive, CI and ensure sustainability of actions by using lean methodology and associated tools.
Establish measurable standards at the start of a project and compare actual project results against these, regularly generating detailed update reports for the Unit Manager.
Own the Scrap Scorecard and present to members of EMEA SLT as required.
Liaise with Scrap champions from other sites and share best practices.
Lead Site EMS with responsibility for the EMS scorecard.
Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of visual management within the unit.
Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of 6S program within the unit.
Lead and Support A3 investigations.
Own project overview meetings and support the unit where required to ensure progression and completion of key projects.
Support Quality investigations and CAPA implementation.
Support with Change Controls were required.
Lead cross functional teams, manufacturing, Engineering, QA, suppliers etc. as appropriate, and becoming a key liaison driving cross functional continuous improvement initiatives within the compounding unit.
What are we looking for?
Continuous improvement supervisors are highly analytical and experienced with project coordination with confidence in your abilities to lead organizational change. Using their problem-solving skills to foresee obstacles and make strategic decisions. They are also excellent mentors who can clearly express complex ideas.
- Technical expertise – A firm understanding of compounding processes and process improvement techniques and with experience applying these to make organizational changes.
- Organization skills – continuous improvement supervisors spearhead both the planning and implementation stages of projects, so they must be organized and committed to meeting deadlines
- Leadership skills –continuous improvement supervisors are coaches and company game-changers, inspiring other team members to give their best effort and setting the direction for many initiatives
- Analytical thinking – A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organizational structures, critically evaluate individual processes and projects, then synthesize their insights to arrive at improvement actions.
- Communication skills – The ability to speak, listen, and write well is important, as continuous improvement supervisors often hold presentations, facilitate meetings and trainings, and create reports
