The Project Management Office operates globally, led by the firm's Head of PMO in the Cayman Islands office. The team supports projects around the globe across the firm's law firm business and professional services business (registered office, corporate and fiduciary services).
THE ROLE
We are expanding our project management team and are looking for dynamic and experienced project managers to join our growing team.
The Project Manager is responsible for the independent management of one or more projects, with accountability for planning, execution and completion according to requirements, deadline and budget.
Transparency and involvement of relevant stakeholders throughout the full project life cycle is critical to success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Communicate project expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Define project critical success factors and disseminate them to involved parties
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Build relationships with the Executive Sponsors and key stakeholders of each project and act as a key strategic partner in the delivery of their transformation agenda
- Participate in the regular governance forums and Steering Committees associated with the projects managed
- Manage the engagement with vendor resources in the delivery of the projects
- Work with key stakeholders across business and IT to conduct feasibility studies on new project ideas to determine delivery feasibility and benefits cases
- Responsible for the financial forecasting and spend management across the projects managed
- Support the development of transformation skills within the PMO, developing best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Support the development of agile delivery skills within the PMO and our journey to become an agile delivery organisation
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- 4+ years direct experience in project management, including all aspects of project development and execution
- Proven track record of excellent senior stakeholder management
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Thorough knowledge of agile/iterative delivery
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Jira or similar
Desirable:
- Legal or professional services experience an advantage
- Experience in the delivery of projects related to either HR, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Legal Services, IT Applications, or IT Infrastructure
- Globally recognised certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE II or similar)

- Experience from remote management of project resources allocated by the line organisation.
- Strong change management skills and the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
- Strong analytic and written and oral communication skills.
