Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with project management, leadership and strategic planning skills to lead a review of UHS Critical Care technologist services. The goal within the 12 month contract will be to assess current workforce, national guidance and work with clinical teams to assess and create a strategic plan for services devising a road map for the next 5 years for the service.
The CC technologist teams are made up of a varied workforce of around 25 staff plus trainees, covering General ICU ,Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU and Paediatric ICU as well as supporting the Major Trauma Centre.
This is a fixed term 12 month contract, full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday-Friday. There will be a requirement for onsite as well as the ability for off site working. This will involve multi disciplinary working, gaining an in-depth knowledge of healthcare scientist roles, and insight into the complex service delivery

Your Responsibilities
What you’ll do
12-month fixed term project to review UHS critical care technologist workforce assessing current position and bench marking against national guidance. Reviewing current set up and ensuring correct specialist service provision is delivered to all specialist CC units moving forward. Developing a strategic plan for the workforce for the next 5 years. The successful candidate will work within the care group as well as with major trauma and Paediatric intensive care. This post will also require working with national bodies and fact finding/bench marking with other Trusts across England
What we’re looking for
Experienced individual who can lead a review project working autonomously in conjunction with clinical and non-clinical teams. Has the ability to evaluate services developing and documenting a 5-year strategic plan for implementation within the service. Have a non-biased approach, analysing complex, sensitive and conflicting information, careful fact finding. The successful candidate will use developed influencing and negotiation to review the service. With excellent change management skills and evidence of innovative solutions for service design the project lead will deliver a report back to the care group on how the UHS CC technologist teams ensure the best service delivery for Critical Care patients moving forward.
