About the role:
As the importance of project management is growing in the social care sector, we're looking for a Project Manager to join us on a fixed term contract. As a project manager, you will help support us on our journey to develop, implement and oversee our strategic project framework to ensure we achieve our strategic vision.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement a framework that delivers strategic projects aligned in our ‘Extraordinary People, Extraordinary Lives’ vision.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- All project proposals are evidence based, operationally effective, value for money and recorded in the appropriate programme and project documentation and information systems.
- Hold responsibility for project governance and reporting against key projects.
- Manage the handover to business as usual, ensure ownership of responsibilities and buy-in within the relevant area.
- Agree and adhere to governance arrangements for individual projects, including controls, approval points, reporting arrangements and escalation routes.
- Ensure project team tracking mechanisms identify, monitor, and evaluate risks and issues to facilitate proactive resolution and escalation.
- Proactively engage internal and external stakeholders, modelling a collaborative and influencing style of working, negotiating to achieve the best outcomes in project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant project management qualification, training or experience is essential.
- Ability to forge and develop working relationships.
- Motivate and negotiate to achieve the best outcomes for the individuals we support.
- Articulate and eloquent written and verbal communication to stakeholder groups that delivers complex information in an accessible format.
- Operate in a highly political and sensitive environment.
- Manage the challenges of project development and delivery within competing perspectives and priorities.
- Understand current national frameworks across the social care sector.
