Project Manager, Shropshire, £40-60k
My client is a designer, manufacturer, and installer of special purpose machinery. Due to a new project, they have won, they need to recruit an experienced Project Manager.
Your initial focus will be to plan and co-ordinate this major project. Your arrival would coincide with an exciting time for the company, and the development of an innovative new product line.
Duties / responsibilities: -
· Supporting with the management and implementation of a key high value project from inception, over-seeing the design and planning phases through to full manufacture/installation.
· Becoming involved in other smaller projects requiring the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business need, acquiring, and utilising the necessary resources and skills.
· Ensuring that projects are developed within time, quality, and budget targets.
· Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders, with a view towards ensuring project delivery meets expectations.
· Providing advice, assistance and guidance in any area associated with business change activities. Including, but not limited to, planning and delivery of projects.
· To manage and update the project programme, and to ensure all aspects are considered.
· Raise any required technical queries and provide early forewarning to the customer of any supplier issues and manufacturing issues.
· Providing excellent project management, planning, documentation, communication, quality assurance and governance reviews and issue/risk management.
· Working with colleagues to share expertise, knowledge and lessons learnt.
· Supporting the development of and adherence of standards, processes, and best practice within the team.
Requirements:
As someone with at least 5 years project management experience, you’ll have excellent analytical problem-solving abilities and verbal and written communication skills. Your previous work will have given you knowledge and experience of project management methodologies such as Agile and Prince2, as well as confidence in managing project team members to achieve project objectives.
You’ll be agile in your work approach dealing with multiple work projects and demands whilst maintaining a professional approach and the ability to remain calm when working under pressure or dealing with a crisis. You will also be tenacious and have excellent attention to detail with a willingness to work at different levels in order to complete the work.
38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 15:00
Initially 9 months fixed term with the possibility of a permanent role.
