The starting salary for this role is £41,931 per annum for 36 hours per week.
We have 2 Project Manager roles available working in the Planning, Performance and Support Team within our Environment, Transport and Infrastructure (ETI) Directorate.

About Us
The Planning, Performance & Support service provides specialist services and support across our Environment, Transport & Infrastructure (ETI) Directorate. The role of the Change Programme Team is to prioritise and deliver a host of projects and improvements that benefit stakeholders including ETI, the wider Council, Members and our residents.
This role will manage projects or programmes within ETI's change programme which are critical to the future of the directorate. We operate a policy of agile working, which means you will have the option to spend part of your week working from home, though this may flex based on business need. Though the role is based in Merrow, we have teams based in offices across the County and business travel to other offices in Surrey may be required.
About the Role
In this role, your job will be to support the Senior Project Manager in project/programme management of a broad range of projects across the Directorate. The Project Manager will be a critical part of this programme, ensuring the day-to-day project management of a number of projects and ensuring that we continue to identify new work streams as appropriate and put in place the support and skills necessary at each stage to help services succeed. The role holder will need the ability to work in a challenging environment with a variety of stakeholders as well as across several virtual teams.
Key outputs include:
1. Project Manage large scale improvement projects/programmes as well as support others managing smaller projects within the programme.
2. Work seamlessly with other teams across the Directorate to identify projects, manage them and report on the benefits of changes implemented
3. Advocate continuous improvement and innovation across the Directorate.
To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:
- Understanding and applied experience of project/programme governance, including planning, risk management and benefits management.
- Knowledge & experience of process mapping, process re-engineering, and process improvement, including ability to articulate process changes in a clear and logical manner.
- Experience of stakeholder management and developing effective relationships.
- Experience working in a political environment desirable.
