We’re looking for a Project Surveyor to join us to manage strategies and programmes of planned maintenance and environmental energy efficiency.
The main purpose of the role is to deliver a range of projects from the conception stage to completion. This will include identification of funding opportunities, producing specifications, managing legislative compliance around construction activities, budgets and procurement of contracts.
You will review proposals for development and refurbishment projects to ensure they will optimise energy usage and provide energy efficiency to maximise benefits to customers, including the specification of renewable technologies and low carbon measures.
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Undertaking energy audits
- Supporting the bid process for external funding for energy efficiencies.
- Carry out a range of surveys to domestic and commercial property
- Produce reports, issue work instructions and manage system data relating to energy, asbestos, planned works, stock condition and day to day repairs.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a recognised building related qualification (HNC or equivalent)
- Experience dealing with contracts and contract management.
- Knowledge of current environmental issues connected to building energy efficiency conservation
- Ability to work under pressure and have a forward thinking and positive approach to problem solving
- Have a sound understanding of building maintenance, construction and building pathology
- Experience using IT applications and Microsoft software such as: Excel, Word and Outlook
Due to the nature of the role a valid Full UK Driving Licence is required.
