An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Melbourne Club at Brocket Hall Golf Team for the 2023 season! The position of Golf Operations and Retail Assistant is a seasonal position, and in this varied role, you will play a key part in the delivery of the day to day golf operation, including golfer check-in, outside operations and retail.
With two championship golf courses on site, which have previously hosted The Rose Ladies Open, Euro Pro Tour and The Faldo Series Grand Final, this is a great opportunity to join the team to help deliver a fantastic golf experience to our members and guests.

What you will be doing:
Consistently offers professional, friendly and engaging service
Golfer check-in & bookings
Meet & greet duties on member and guest arrival
Dealing with customer enquiries and bookings via phone, email and in person
Assist with outside operations including the setup of golf carts, member’s trolleys and clubs and cleaning of all items post round
Being on hand to assist guests with golf equipment and service items.
Stock replenishment and merchandising in golf shop.
To follow all established shop procedures, including those for payment processing, handling customer complaints, opening and closing, health and safety, security etc.
Take advantage of upselling opportunities in order to generate additional sales on service and retail items
Assisting with the delivery of golf days and groups in accordance with their event programme.
Keep practice facilities presentable and a constant supply of range balls available throughout the day
Monitors on course pace of play in accordance with pace of play guidelines
Coordinates daily golf cart requests ensuring adequate supply at all times
Ensuring all areas of the guest journey is tidy, clean and safe at all times
On course F&B duties
Other jobs at the request of the Golf Operations Manager
Your experience and skills include:
Must play golf or have a good understanding of the game
Knowledge of golf systems - BRS, POS, Golf Genius, EZ Suite etc.
Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible and reliable
A willingness to learn and develop, but not afraid to ask for help when needed
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Your team and working environment:
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Varying shifts typically between 06:00 & 21:00.
Weekend work required as part of a 5-day week.
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 15-40 per week
