Job description
We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our busy Estates and Facilities team. The post holder will play a key role providing professional project management, to support the Estates and Facilities department in providing a safe and welcoming campus where our student and staff can study, grow and expand their knowledge skills in a flexible, agile and sustainable environment.
You will play a lead role in the delivery of the Universities Estates Capital Master Plan programme, assisting the Estates Strategy and Masterplan and improving our estates infrastructure to provide modern and sustainable high-quality teaching and research environment across campus and halls of residence.
Key responsibilities and attributes of the successful applicant
- Management of projects across campus and halls of residence
- Prepare and manage project briefs, programmes and budgets
- Appointment and management of consultants and contractors
- Ensure projects are carried out with statutory legislation.
- Contribute to Estates Master Plan delivery
- Successful track record in project management]
- Accurate worker and high attention to detail including when under pressure
- Passion for delivering a great service and good customer service
- High level of prioritisation and organisation to manage a high volume of work and priorities effectively
- Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised
