We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Economy and Infrastructure Directorate and help us make a difference to the lives of our customers through the delivery and implementation of a wide range of projects across the Borough.
In Economy and Infrastructure our scope is broad – from multi-million-pound economic growth projects, to planning the future of the Borough, to leading the climate change agenda, to managing the highways, to maintaining a quality environment, to collecting and recycling the waste, to running libraries and providing cultural opportunities, to keeping people safe and supporting communities to support themselves – and lots more!
Your remit will also be broad. Working alongside the Directorate’s Transformation and Programme Manager, you will have direct impact on the delivery of the Directorate’s priorities by leading or supporting a number of projects and reviews within our efficiency and innovation programme.
Responsible for the delivery of projects at service and cross-directorate levels, you will be:
- Creating project plans and monitoring project progress using appropriate standards, methods and tools including the identification of dependencies, milestones, issues & risks
- Leading change control (managing and supporting updates of policies and procedures, forms, literature and system guides, and intranet).
- Co-ordinating service areas, suppliers and other colleagues, in the delivery of project solutions
You will have:
- Project management experience and knowledge gained from successfully managing and delivering multiple projects
- Experience of managing and leading project teams involving staff from a range of services
- Experience in producing the full range of project management documentation including business cases, project plans and highlight reports.
