Job description
The Role On Offer
In Business Technology Solutions (BTS) we specialise in navigating our clients through the complexities and interdependencies of technology-enabled change programmes. We focus on technical delivery, providing the capabilities that ensure our clients realise their IT-enabled ambitions and benefits.
Business Transformation Consulting (BTC) is a growing team of 80 consultants with a huge amount of combined experience and qualification. We partner with our clients to both design their business and change their business, all the while guiding them along their transformation journey. We use our best-practice “4C” model to do this:
- Clarifying and understanding the vision for change
- Ensuring that the client has the capability to sustain the transformation journey
- Working with committed and engaged stakeholders
- Making sure that the change continues to deliver against the business case.
The knowledge that exists within our nine BTC capability teams helps drive this, sharing best-practice thinking and methods in the following areas: Culture Change; Value Management; Training; Business Change; Operating Model Design; Communications & Engagement; Process Consulting; Maturity Assessment; Product Owner, Agile BA and User Research.
Most importantly, our culture is key and it defines who we are: we always put our clients first, our style is collaborative, fun, innovative and agile, and we roll up our sleeves and get it done. This means that we are able to form close relationships, not just with our clients but also internally with our Capgemini colleagues.
Your Role
As a Business Change Consultant in BTC you’ll work on a range of transformation projects across different industries. You will understand our client’s business needs and creatively shape and refine business solutions to meet those needs. We are recruiting across all levels of experience.
As a Business Change Consultant, you will work with our customers and Capgemini colleagues to deliver sustainable business change that realises the business outcomes. Typically, our approach centres on technology enabled change, from large-scale ERP programmes to smaller, digital application development and everything in between. You will work as part of a team to deliver aspects of target operating model and organisational design, stakeholder engagement, learning and business change impact and readiness. You’ll need to be comfortable working in both waterfall and agile methods of transformation.
We believe in a practical, structured approach to business change, an approach that works hand in hand with the technical aspects of the project and that focuses on the organisational and people aspects of sustainable business transformation.
You will help manage and coach junior colleagues both on your project and within BTC. You will also have the opportunity to utilise your knowledge and expertise to reshape or create new offers and services for our clients.
Your Profile
As a Business Change Consultant, you will be a natural problem solver - curious, tenacious and driven to find the right answers. You will want to collaborate with our clients to understand the needs of their business and its customers and then identify, design and implement the business change improvements and technology products that will allow them to achieve their business goals. You will be adept at engaging all key stakeholders to make sure that the change will be a success for the client.

- An understanding of digital technology and the opportunities it brings to business transformation
- Proven experience and expertise in the application of the following business change elements with particular emphasis on digitally-enabled business transformation and business change in an agile environment
- An open mind, ready to adapt to the current fast-changing agile and digital environment
- Involvement in sales and pre-sales related content, presenting and managing proposals
- Experience in various delivery models and methodologies, including agile and lean techniques
