We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our PMO team. Working with the PMO Manager and Project Deliver Lead, you will contribute to the Business Strategy, ensuring effective planning and delivery of allocated projects and programmes, along with managing key relationships with internal and external clients. Experience working with data and analytics is desirable.
The successful candidate will support the development of, and adhere to, standards and processes within the PMO team and identify and contribute to ongoing business process improvement and best practices.
Please note this is a 24-month fixed term role, and the successful candidate will ideally be Cornwall based, but remote working can be considered.
You’ll help us by:
- Managing projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business need, acquiring, and utilising the necessary resources and skills
- Ensuring that projects are developed within time, quality, and budget targets
- Working closely with business leads and business partners to ensure smooth entry, contracting and handoffs throughout the change cycle to Business As Usual
- Providing advice, assistance and guidance in any area associated with business change activities. Including, but not limited to, planning, procurement, and delivery of projects
- Being an advocate for the Project Management Office’s Tools and Techniques.
- Providing excellent project management, planning, documentation, communication, quality assurance and governance reviews and issue/risk management
- Ensuring effective planning and delivery of allocated Projects in accordance with project methodologies
- Working with colleagues to share expertise, knowledge and lessons learnt
- Supporting the development of and adherend of standards and processes within the PMO Team
The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:
As someone with project management experience, such as Agile, Prince2 or APMG, you’ll have excellent analytical problem-solving abilities and verbal and written communication skills. Your previous work will have given you considerable knowledge and experience of project management methodologies along with experience of delivering complex technology projects and/or programmes.
You’ll be creative and innovative, with a professional approach, and have the ability to remain calm when working under pressure or dealing with a crisis.
