Project Manager

The Capital Investment Team within the Repairs and Investment section of Royal Borough of Greenwich are seeking to recruit a Project Manager.

The post holder will require the following attribute:

A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project management and an ability to advise managers and staff delivering frontline services.

Expert knowledge of project management and building safety requirements.

Strong problem solving and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to devise and implement changes to policy and procedures and to improve services.

Strong leadership skills and ability to implement improved ways of working, and to effectively motivate and develop staff to meet performance standards and provide excellent customer care.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, elected Members, and other stakeholders; to prepare presentations letters and reports to a high standard.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Excellent organisational management skills and the ability to make full use of a range of IT systems.

Able to work under pressure and manage own time and that of others with minimal supervision.

Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a variety of people including customers, staff and other agencies.

Excellent IT skills, and ability to learn new packages as required. Ability to devise, implement, and maintain record and monitoring systems, including database and spread sheet systems.

Experience of carrying out project management within a housing service or similar customer focused organisation.

Experience of policy, project management, partnership development and/or service improvement work within an organisation providing frontline housing services.

Significant experience in delivering project management in an repairs and investment environment.

Recognised professional qualification would be desirable such as:

Project Management/Prince2 or equivalent

NEBOSH General Certificate/Diploma

IOSH Membership (Tech/Grad/CMIOSH)
