The Company

Psychiatry-UK LLP is the leading provider of online mental health services in the United Kingdom, made up of a large chamber of consultant psychiatrists, nurse prescribers and non-clinical support services, assessing and treating 2000+ patients each month within the NHS and private sector across all age groups.

Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and committed individuals with a positive mental attitude, who can meet tight deadlines and who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment requiring skills of autonomy and initiative.

The post holder will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

The role will be home-based, but you could be required to attend various meeting locations as and when needed. A company laptop will be provided.

Description of Duties

· Be accountable and / or responsible, as appropriate, for every aspect of the project lifecycle, including comprehensive project artefacts and project closure, to distil good practice and ensure lessons learnt are logged.

· Ensure appropriate resource availability and allocation.

· Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. Adjust schedules and targets on the project, as needs or finances change.

· Delegate tasks on the project to people best positioned to complete them. Support delegates to fulfil their tasks, managing and prioritising own and others’ workload appropriately.

· Manage unpredictable situations and conflicting priorities, and find solutions to problems as they arise, obtaining advice and guidance from the Head of PMO / Project Sponsor. Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.

· Manage and mitigate risks.

· Manage all relevant stakeholders, including handling delicate conversations and negotiations.

· Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

· Write and distribute emails, letters and forms.

· Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.

· Provide cover for colleagues when and where necessary.

· Plan your own workload to ensure that weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tasks are met.

· Prioritise workload with consideration to issues arising and responding to shifting priorities appropriately.

· Actively participate in regular supervision with line manager and the PUK PDR process for maintaining and developing personal skills and meeting agreed objectives.

· Attend online training as relevant to the post including mandatory training courses i.e. Information Governance, safeguarding, Health and Safety courses etc

· Carry out duties in a way which promotes fairness in all matters, and which engenders trust.

Individual Requirements

  • Working knowledge of project management software tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives.
  • Understand and implement the strategic direction of the PMO team. Follow PUK’s project management approach and champion it within the business. Contribute to maintain, develop and improve PUK’s project management approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with a high degree of literacy,
  • Above-average IT skills and be conversant with Microsoft Office software suite and be readily adaptable to fast-paced changes in service.

  • Ability to accurately follow instructions, but also use own initiative
  • Meticulous attention to detail

It is essential that you have a reliable, fast internet connection in order to work for Psychiatry-UK.

Other Information

The post holder will be expected to register with the DBS Update Service at their own cost to keep their DBS certificate current. Psychiatry-UK will apply for the original DBS certificate on their behalf.

This is a temporary employed position on a fixed-term basis for six months. The possibility of the contract being renewed will be based on the needs of the business at the time as well as the post holder's performance and attendance.

Salary: £50,000 per year

There is an additional work-from-home bonus offered of £1,000 pa pro rata
