Job description
Purpose of role: Assist in identifying opportunities within the Supply Chain where efficiencies can be gained in terms of cost, timeliness, data integrity, visibility and business process. Responsible for BAU changes and for planning, managing and delivering large scale supply chain projects across the Primark Supply Chain working in collaboration with our Tech team.

Location: Flexible - Islip Depot/ Reading
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide hands on leadership to the end-to-end delivery of large scale and/or multiple small-scale projects in the supply chain from conception through to delivery often over a short or long timescale. These projects will include, but not be limited to, new operational design, build & introductions, carrier management changes, operational process improvement activities & supporting systems implementations within Inbound Supply Chain & Customs functions.
- Work in a collaborative approach with areas within Supply Chain (and other wider business areas) to identify areas of improvement, replacement or new initiatives and innovations understanding the potential value add, benefits and considering any risks.
- As an inbound subject matter expert manage the successful delivery of BAU changes along with technology team from defining the requirements, design, testing to go live.
- Responsible for supporting the supply chain inbound and customs business teams on all BAU and continuous improvement initiatives and queries.
- Work closely with supply chain business, data & analytics, technology teams in identifying the data integrity issues and defining a process for better management of business data.
- Ensuring projects are aligned with Primark’s Strategic Roadmap and effectively communicate the progress of projects and milestones to all key stakeholders.
- Liaise with business teams to scope the business requirements for the projects.
- Build detailed business cases to support the projects, including comprehensive cost detail across all functions, cost phasing and detailed benefit paybacks.
- To ensure appropriate resources are allocated and/or recruited internally to support project delivery and including external resource.
- To ensure budgets are properly monitored and managed in collaboration with Central Supply Chain Finance, Technology and stakeholders.
- Focus and develop project plans, resourcing plans and project spend against budget in a collaborative manner with other functions.
- Manage and support UAT phases if a technical project - assist in the creation of scenarios and ensure testing plan, resource requirements and IT considerations are all met.
- Responsible for supporting the mapping and maintenance of business processes – As Is and To be
- Assist in planning business cutover, golden thread testing, and all go live criteria for the project where applicable.
- Manage change – both internally across the business and externally with non-technical suppliers and vendors.
- Communicate with key supply chain internal and external parties (if applicable) ensuring all are informed and brought along the journey.
- Ensure all training documentations, work instructions are trained out to all parties involved in any changes to business process or new processes being introduced.
- Manage and escalate risks and issues to key stakeholders.
- Manage and mitigate risk across projects, constantly ensuring the benefits are still viable along with key deliverables.
- Maintain Primark’s project governance methodology engaging on a regular basis with the sponsor and key stakeholders of the project for updates on progress and key decisions that are required.
- Ensure that at point of project completion that the project is in a stable state to hand across as BAU and that an agreed level of hypercare has been monitored and signed off.
- Completion of project closure documentation including but not limited to post implementation reviews with stakeholder and budget and benefit analysis.

- Ability to prioritise, organise and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
- Deliver results and achieving corporate objectives on time and within the agreed parameters.
- Ability to work on a multitude of projects at a given time.

- Confident to present and feedback to senior stakeholders when required.

- A minimum of 5 years supply chain project management experience

- Business Analysis, Prince 2 ,Lean Six Sigma or equivalent accreditations preferable.
