Due to continued business growth, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Project Manager to join the team on our own site in Cowes, Isle of Wight, you will be the operational lead accountable for the implementation of projects including hardware & software development, prototype assembly, validation testing, qualification and final hand-over to production of a compliant, designed-for-manufacture product.

To be considered for this role you will live in the Isle of Wight and be willing to work on site in Cowes each day.

What will I be doing?

As a Project Manager you will work in a small team with the Senior Project Manager and Technical Author and you will be responsible for your own portfolio of projects at any one time, whilst having the responsibility to ensure that the agreed project delivery, budget and quality are adhered to each time.

Some of your other responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Senior Project manager in delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Provide regular feedback to the Senior Project manager regarding progress versus Project Plan
  • Review specifications and instrumentation designs and liaise with the Engineering team to implement compliant solution, with Design for Manufacture a key driver
  • Prepare Project Schedules to address the design and development requirements
  • Prepare and support Technical Authors in support of Project Documentation
  • In conjunction with the Procurement Team, obtain quotations from suppliers & sub-contractors
  • Always ensuring that the highest level of customer service is provided at all times

What experience do I need?

Our team consists of the best people, we should know, we trained them. We want our new recruits to have the same attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do.

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment or a technical background
  • The ability to deliver projects to schedule, budget and quality
  • Experience of working with a Materials and Resource Planning System (MRP) or knowledge of how to use one
  • Ideally project management experience within an engineering environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • PRINCE2 qualification would be of preference or the willingness to complete this
  • Naturally, you will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Do what you say you will do; Talk to anyone in our team from engineers to our back office team and we’re always open and honest
  • Be reliable; There’s something about being dependable that we all think matters
