Do you like a challenge? Interested in helping us change and improve the way we do things? Are you experienced in delivering physical and/or improvement projects and delivering better outcomes for patients and staff? This might be the opportunity you have been looking for.
NHS Borders is facing a number of challenges in meeting our aspirations to deliver high quality healthcare for the people of the Borders. Our Programme Management Office (PMO) delivers a variety of projects including capital, efficiency and transformation projects and it aims to deliver improvements in a challenging financial environment by ensuring we work as effectively and productively as possible.
We are progressing a programme of change which will see us do things very differently and we need a number of committed project managers who have been successful in delivering projects that push the boundaries. We are particularly looking for project managers who have experience in a healthcare setting, or alternatively have experience delivering transformation, capital or construction projects. An interest in climate and sustainability would be desirable.
You will be a part of a team, but will be responsible for delivering on your own projects and supporting projects within a programme of work. You will be creative and be able to generate and encourage new ways of thinking. You will be familiar with project and risk management methodologies and project frameworks. You will support clinical services to develop and implement new service plans which will have an area wide impact and result in Better Health, Better Care and Better Value for our patients. In doing so, you will be required to plan, liaise, communicate and work with services across NHS Borders, with local partner agencies and potentially other NHS Boards.
NHS Borders is not under obligation to offer sponsorship for this role.
NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
**PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your
application is submitted early***
