About The Role
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to play a key role in making NHS Professionals smarter, simpler and faster? Our transformation project, SHINE, needs your skills now!
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Transformation team in NHS Professionals (NHSP) as a Project Manager on a fixed term contract/secondment for 2 years. As a Project Manager you will hold the responsibility, authority and accountability (including technical, financial and quality) for defining, planning and managing the execution of projects within the Transformation Portfolio and across multiple NHSP business initiatives and programmes. The team consists of some 60 colleagues who work collaboratively to ensure delivery of the SHINE programme, a strategic priority for the NHSP business. This is a fast paced, complex transformation programme that has the potential to take our organisation to the next level and help us deliver the patient care our NHS needs now and in the future.
Skills/Responsibilities:
- Deliver projects to the agreed time, cost and quality with a focus on benefits realisation.
- You will make sure that the relevant governance is in place and the various aspects of project management are covered
- Ensure the project delivery team’s work is properly coordinated and interfaced with NHSP business policies, processes and procedures and, where required, is aligned with industry standards and best practice
- Manage and deliver projects using the appropriate project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently
About The Candidate
- Demonstrable project management experience in the public or private sector
- Agile project management and Prince 2 practitioner level or equivalent
- Experience of working in a structured project focused environment
- Previous experience of formal project management and techniques including change control
- A level of comfort working in a complex, changeable, fast paced environment
