Role: Project Manager - Construction
Are you an experienced and driven Project Manager looking for a challenging opportunity in the construction industry? We are currently seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee our projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project execution strategies with a cross-functional project team to ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with company policies and established goals.
- Identify, implement, and comply with safety, environmental, and quality procedures, as well as relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and report an accurate project baseline, keeping track of project progress and performance.
- Encourage the use of Learning from Experience (LFE) within the project and disseminate new knowledge to relevant functions.
- Establish and maintain interfaces and shared services between the project and supporting functions.
- Lead, coach, and support the delivery team to ensure adherence to Project Delivery Fundamentals and company practices.
- Select and maintain a competent project team, promptly addressing any industrial relations or HR issues.
- Provide accurate and timely project status reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
- Develop and maintain integrated project execution strategies and plans.
- Facilitate clear communication among the project team and stakeholders.
- Ensure the project meets specified functional criteria and stays within the agreed baseline of scope and cost.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver projects safely, meeting functional criteria, goals, and objectives, while complying with legislation and Project Execution Procedures.
- Prioritize safety and quality to maintain Nuclear Safety standards during project delivery.
- Establish and maintain a competent and efficient Integrated Project Team.
- Minimize project risks and maximize opportunities for success.
- Enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and address issues that may impact the project baseline and sanction.
- Propose, implement, and report corrective actions to ensure the project baseline is secure.
- Fulfill the client duty holder role for construction tasks and projects as required by regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head of Projects and Project Management Function to embed Project Delivery Fundamentals in projects.
- Identify any gaps in Project Management Fundamentals and develop mitigation and improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with sanction limits.
- Apply procedures proportionately based on project complexity.
- Disseminate relevant Learning from Experience to relevant stakeholders.
Authorities:
- Approval authority will be based on the Project Execution Manual's seniority levels, with responsibilities including:
- Assignment of key project personnel.
- Development and implementation of project execution strategies and plans.
- Commitment of sanctioned project funds within delegated financial powers.
- Management of all scope and change control variations within agreed limits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
