Projects Coordinator
Mayflex currently have a vacancy for a Projects Coordinator. The Project Team Coordinator is responsible for generating profitable sales revenues for Mayflex by managing customer Projects for bids over £20K.
ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Maximises the configuration of competitive bids
- Responds to customer requests, maximizing each opportunity and meeting deadlines
- Researches projects for information on competitors and other parties involved
- Investigates potential additional opportunities for Mayflex product lines and involves the relevant division i.e. Networking and Security
- Negotiates with suppliers for price support and stock availability
- Sources products and special items within customer budget and timescales
- Creates a competitive bids whilst maintaining margin
- Develops lasting relationships with customers
- Liaises with the Purchasing department on future project requirements to ensure stock availability
- Reports any market/competitor information on pricing and products back to the Projects team
- Maintains the ACT database to create Sales Pipeline and forecast information
- Manages the hand over process to internal sales on all orders won.
Success in this role relies on a good all-round knowledge of customers and suppliers, the distribution industry and Mayflex sales processes. Excellent organisational and planning skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure to meet delivery deadlines are also key to successful performance in this role.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO MAYFLEX?
- Educated to GCSE level – Maths and English at C grade or above
- Successful track record in sales, meeting targets individually and as part of a team
- 3+ years in the Distribution industry
- Proven experience in responding to tender documents and large bids
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
