An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Access to Health Records team. This role will be based at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate.
Our team are focused on service delivery and patient care and we are looking for individuals who are self motivated with a genuine desire to give gold standard care at every level.
The successful applicant will be joining a highly motivated and effective team who strive to ensure patient care is at the forefront of our service.
This role may include evening and weekend shifts.
This post may support one or more team within the Health Records Department. The focus of this role will include keyboard skills, data inputting and moderate use of display screen equipment and manual handling of healthcare records.
Main Duties include retrieving Health Care Records from all departments within the hospital.
To undertake comprehensive administrative and clerical duties as part of the Access to Records Team. This includes organisation of own and other team members work. Duties include contact with front line service users, members of the public and other external stakeholders on a regular basis. The post requires the post holder to exercise initiative, discretion and skill.
To be responsible and ensure all Subject Access Requests (SAR) and insurance claims received by the Trust are dealt with within the laid down timeframes, making judgements on validity of requests in accordance with current legislation.
This post will include organisation and maintenance of effective systems (paper based and electronic) preparation and typing of correspondence
