Overview:
While many projects will have significant technology component, this role is wider than technology and the Senior Project Manager will manage effective collaboration across all business and technology workstreams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Project budget will typically range from £0.25m to £2.0m.Responsibilities:

- Work with business sponsors to articulate outcomes, shape programmes and influence business cases
- Lead the definition and planning of the activity to deliver the business case outcomes
- Manage communication across stakeholders and delivery teams ensuring that all have the information they need, and in a format and timeframe that enables effective decision making
- Provide strong leadership to motivate and inspire multi-function teams to collaborate and achieve best results for our customers and the business
- Proactively monitor and report progress against plans, budgets and benefits; ensuring that outcomes remain aligned to strategic objectives
- Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring timely intervention to resolve or avoid issues
- Set-up and actively manage third party suppliers against an agreed budget and scope
- Present updates and facilitate key decisions at Steering Groups and Executive meetings
- Be a key member of the Programme and Portfolio team to role model and drive improvement and learning
- Extensive experience of project management methodologies
- Strong ability to translate business intent into delivery
- Gains trust and support of stakeholders of all levels
- Able to synthesise large amounts of information, extracting key messages and communicating effectively to all levels
- Drives action and challenges constructively without losing trust and support
- Experience of managing third-party delivery and suppliers
- Experience of managing projects to deliver joint outcomes with external business partners (advantageous)
- Broad understanding of personal lines insurance (advantageous)
