Job description
There is an exciting range of strategic work to be achieved across CSS, including the delivery of strategic priorities at an organisational, regional and national level. We are looking to appoint two Project Managers who will enable us to deliver our key strategic plans, initially focusing on the implementation and delivery of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) programme.
Working at a Corporate level in a fast-paced Programme Management Office, the Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring that large scale, complex programmes of work are delivered to agreed timescales, to a high standard. The Project Manager role is integral to working with multiple stakeholders across MFT and external stakeholders engaged in delivering the Programme, to deliver against key objectives, providing assurance of delivery to senior colleagues and stakeholders.
The post holder is required to deliver against a varied portfolio of work, operating flexibly to meet the challenging and competing demands of the role, including ensuring tasks are prioritised and meeting deadlines. The Project Manager is expected to operate within sound governance structures, recognising when to escalate and appropriately manage risk. Reporting through governance structures will be an integral part of the role and the assurances the Programme Management Office can give regarding delivery.
The post holder will need to be able to move comfortably between a number of highly skilled, unrelated tasks, proactively and quickly picking up new issues and working with limited guidance and supervision. They will require an in depth understanding of programme priorities, including both the work agenda and wider political sensitivities and issues surrounding different aspects of the work.
You will join the growing CSS Strategy and Transformation Team and be a key part of the team who deliver projects of national and local importance, including the Community Diagnostic Centres programme across Manchester and Trafford. These roles will support our clinical and operational management colleagues to roll out additional CDC activity in sites across Manchester and Trafford, and drive forward the Programme including working closely with Estates colleagues and supporting the reporting of progress to both regional and national stakeholders.
