About The Role

Work Pattern: 35 hours Monday - Friday (annualised hours)
Contract Type: Full-time Permanent

This role is subject to:-
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed here. We have a policy on the Employment of Ex-Offenders and it is available upon request.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering a wide range of complex projects within a diverse workload to a structured project management process such as PRINCE 2 or equivalent
This is an exciting time to join Manchester Children's Service as we expand our service provision in order to provide the best outcomes for Our Children in Manchester. Our Children have a right to homes where they feel happy, safe and were care givers are aspirational for their futures, they also have a right to remain with family where this is safe to do so.

We are looking for Project Manager to work alongside our committed and dedicated teams to help develop our innovation programmes such as Mockingbird, Take a Breath, Family Group Conferencing and Life Long Links.
The role holder will undertake effective stakeholder engagement alongside senior managers andstrategic directors, interpreting strategic visions into a coherent programme of projectswhich deliver organisational priorities.
You will be expected to manage the programmes and report on the progress, providing assurance that we are meeting key milestones and delivering our ambitions for our children.

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who is inspirational and creative, someone with a proven track record of delivering outstanding system and culture change.
you will be prepared to go the extra mile and take time to understand the lived experience and the impact of trauma for our children who we look after. You will be kind, reflective and committed to Our Children and making the necessary changes in their interest, changes that will make a real difference to their lived experiences.
You will be tenacious and curious, able to use your own initiative and have excellent organisational skills. You will be experienced in project management and the use of IT to support this role.
You will provide exceptional leadership skills and respond calmly when presented with difficult and complicated situations, you will be a team player and not afraid to demonstrate an ability to think differently and try new things.
in addition we are looking for someone who can support the development of our service, including service delivery of a creative and innovative service with a view to ensure continuous improvement and development.
