Junior Project Manager

Location: Cardiff

Hybrid / Flexible Working

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

The Role


As a Junior Project Manager you will have a positive impact at LDMS by ensuring to support the delivery of internal and external projects, resulting in positive feedback from our customers and key stakeholders. You'll be self-motivated and committed to completing projects and any administrative tasks in line with defined timescales. You'll be up to speed with various project methodologies and able to support the Project Manager to identify the best approach to take when working with various clients. Being well versed in planning, you'll be able to help support the Project Manager with all administrative tasks such as capturing, recording and updating Risks, Actions, Issues and Dependencies (RAIDs) across the portfolio of projects and ensuring all project documentation is up to date.

Day to Day


  • You will be up to date with the various project methodologies and will support the Project Manager when applying the best approach to take when working with clients.
  • You will be comfortable working with the various project management tools adopted by the business.
  • You will understand planning and communication are key. Keeping both the Project Manager and project documentation up to date, as well as maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • You take ownership of identifying your individual training needs/knowledge gaps and personal development.
  • You will work closely with the Project Manager to track resource on projects.
  • You are comfortable to facilitate daily stand-ups if needed and participate in regular planning sessions to ensure that the teams are kept up to date, motivated and driving things forward.
  • You help identify areas of improvement and feeding back to the team and stakeholders through retrospectives and reviews.
  • You update key project governance and any approvals via regular steering meetings.

You ensure project meetings are minuted and any actions shared with interested parties.

  • You will help ensure risk, issues and change requests are logged and circulated via appropriate channels including Jira, RAID logs and plans
