JOB DESCRIPTION


Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple technical security projects across Base Compute Product Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects related to cybersecurity and will work with team members across multiple locations in APAC, EMEA and Americas. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, hold team others accountable, and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee technical security projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that project objectives are met within timeline, and quality standards
  • Create and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and JIRA boards for assigned projects
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and management on project progress, issues, and risks
  • Work with the Product owners to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring that team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; clear impediments for the team
  • Ensure that project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on project progress and issues
  • Develop and implement a communication plan, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience in managing technical projects
  • Understanding of technology, cybersecurity concepts and best practices
  • Strong experience operating in an Agile environment and knowledge of practices like Scrum, Kanban
  • Proven experience in creating and managing JIRA boards and other project management tools such as Jira Align
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with teams in different locations and time zones
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to coach and mentor
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
