POSITION SUMMARY
ISEP, a 40-employee organization in downtown Arlington, is seeking an Information Technology Project manager. This position will report to the Director of Information Technology. The Project manager will develop in-depth knowledge of ISEP's IT platforms. They will translate ISEP needs into detailed project requirements and communicate effectively with outside development resources. They will manage projects with external developers while working closely with internal stakeholders to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. They will manage numerous existing and new project initiatives via a comprehensive Master IT plan and individual plans for assigned projects to support the business needs of our student services, university relations, marketing, and finance departments. The Master IT Plan (and individual plans) must include project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing. The IT PM also sets and tracks project milestones, manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed. This role will continuously communicate with the project team and stakeholders, manage risks and issues, and monitor progress to ensure the project stays on track.
75% of your time will be spent in:
- Project management.
- Help desk triaging.
While 25% will be spent in:
- SQL support.
- Web development support.
- Systems administration support
PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS
External: IT Consultants and Vendors supporting the Director of Information Technology
Internal: Staff, Mid-Level Managers, Executive Team supporting Director of Information Technology
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage numerous in-process initiatives.
- Establish timelines, develop budgetary cost estimates, and identify the resources needed internally and externally to complete projects.
- Evaluate and communicate project success and make recommendations for improvement of future projects.
- Continued development and updates to ISEP's Enrollment Management System (EMS).
- Review and recommend updates and changes to ISEP's Association Management System (AMS).
- Project Management and Content - ISEP IT Policies & Procedures and Onboarding Policies & Process.
- Lead stakeholder meetings.
- Manage developer and external consultants. Serve as a bridge between external consultants and the internal executive team.
- Provide organization-wide IT updates.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong Project Management experience.
- Ability to communicate and provide clear direction to the executive team and key stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Any of the following certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), CompTIA Project+, Master Project Manager (MPM), PRINCE2 Foundation/PRINCE2 Practitioner, PRINCE2 Agile Foundation/Agile Practitioner, Professional in Project Management (PPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Manager Professional (PgMP). or a proven successful track record.
- Experience in the non-profit or higher education sector
- Familiarity and experience using project management systems such as Asana.
- Experience or familiarity with Wild Apricot a plus.
