Job description
Ideal candidate to have experience in working in the utilities sector on gas or oil pipelines with a civils background. Extensive CDM Regulations 2015 knowledge essential as Principal Designer and/or Principal Contractor.
Typical responsibilities include:
- sourcing works and developing relationships with new and existing clients
- agreeing project aims and goals with the client
- representing the client's and/or organisation's interests
- consulting with clients prior to project commencement and aiding with pricing of the works
- organising the various professional people working on a project including PPV staff, designers, and sub-contractors
- arranging and co-ordinating Temporary Works Designs
- conducting risk assessments and writing/approving method statements
- monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
- overseeing the accounting, costing, and billing of projects
- reporting to the client or senior stakeholders on progress
- evaluating the success of the project against its benchmarking and sharing lessons or best practice with other organisations or project managers
- attending weekly labour meetings to organise upcoming works
- attending regular Management and H&S meetings

Training requirements:
- CDM Regulations 2015
- SMSTS
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator
- NEC4 Engineering & Construction Short Contract Experience (Ideal but not essential)
- First Aid at Work
- Manual Handling
- Asbestos Awareness
- COSHH Awareness
