Health Spaces are looking for a Project Manager to join our delivery team. Whilst as a business we promote flexibility we believe this role will be most successful in its delivery with regular attendance to the construction site in Warwickshire.

Health Spaces are the UK’s only healthcare construction company dedicated to NHS fast-track design and build turnkey solutions for new build or re-purposing projects. Working with Trusts across the UK from the very beginning of their design journey, our award-winning team of healthcare architects and construction specialists deliver integrated end-to-end expertise and methodology to support the NHS in building better healthcare, faster. What are we looking for in this position?

The Project Manager will be responsible for and lead all site-based and support activities required for the successful and class leading delivery of the project; This will include the planning, programming, design management, monitoring, reporting and completion of projects ensuring that the customers’ needs are met and aligned with the set budget and project KPIs across all functions.

What will you do?

  • Collaborating with business leaders, key stakeholders, and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
  • Developing excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders for efficient project implementation and delivery.
  • Liaison with Pre-construction, design and technical teams to facilitate the efficient and timeous delivery of the project within agreed metrics.
  • Originating and developing detailed project plans to guide clients and the team, monitoring, and revising to meet any changing needs and requirements.
  • Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of staff members. Recognising gaps and taking corrective action if required.
  • Identifying and assessing project risks in all areas, maintain risk registers together with elimination and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitoring and reporting project performance to ensure timely delivery. Compiling and submitting regular and ad hoc project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to the required standards for health, safety, environmental, sustainability and quality.
  • Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Managing change control processes and facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Act as a role model for the highest standards of health & safety, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, ISO45001, and Safe Contractor is maintained on every project.
  • Manage and champion the Considerate Constructors scheme.
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying lessons learnt and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Adherence to the company management systems and QHSES responsibilities as defined within the ‘overview and context of the organisation’ document.

  • Ability to act as change agents and instil confidence to embrace change.
  • Ability to conduct project review meetings, daily activity briefings, and Client meetings.
  • Ability to continuously follow up on the progress, risks, and opportunities of the project.
  • Ability to direct all project management phases.
  • Ability to align various teams to maintain the quality of deliverables.
  • Ability to make recommendations for project improvement.
