Glasgow Caledonian University’s IT department is a central professional service department that provides IT services to GCU campuses in Glasgow and London. The IT department supports the University by delivering technology-based services for research, teaching and learning, to enable on and off-campus learning and engagement.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager who will be is responsible for the successful delivery of projects within Glasgow Caledonian University. The role involves leading project teams, managing project budgets, timelines and risks, and ensuring that project outcomes meet stakeholder expectations. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the IT Services team and other key stakeholders across the university to ensure that projects are delivered within scope, on time and within budget.
The role holder will have proven experience of managing projects, preferably within a Higher Education setting and strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams. The candidate should also have experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and experience of managing project budgets and resources effectively.
The successful candidate should hold a degree and/or ability to demonstrate extensive relevant experience. They should also have a project management qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
Ideally, the successful candidate would hold a Business Analysis qualification, or equivalent professional experience and have experience of managing projects using Agile methodology to successfully deliver business objectives.
