About Us
FLI is a well-established and leading specialist in design, manufacture, and installation of specialist steel structures. We are currently looking for an aspiring project manager to join our small projects team. The right candidate will be required to help run projects across rail, highways, telecommunications, and nuclear industries.
Your Role As a PM
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple projects at the same time ranging from £10-500k in value. You must be competent in managing all aspects of the project from acknowledging the order to invoicing it. This will include collaboration with different teams (drawing office, engineering, sales & manufacturing) and the client. Key skills & experience required:
- 2-5 years experience managing projects, ideally in Telecoms, Rail, Highways Nuclear or general construction.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Confidence to work without close supervision, but the experience to escalate important issues when necessary.
- Good grasp of technical concepts and attention to detail.
- An engineering degree is preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to run, schedule and action internal & external meetings.
- Understanding to generate and adhere to a realistic programme.
- Pragmatic decision making
- Problem solving ability and commitment to take responsibility of all aspects of a project.
- Willingness to share ideas, push change and drive the business forward.
- An open, flexible, and willing attitude
Additional helpful experience, but not required:
- Experience writing RAMS, document control and resource management
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, site installation methods, health and safety, and the practical constraints that can govern the design of a product.
- Understanding of steel structures is helpful but not essential.
Working hours are 8-4:30 Monday to Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Supplemental pay types:
