Transformation Project Manager

Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Full-time. You’ll agree your working pattern with your manager.
Salary: Up to £56,000
Reporting to: Head of Programme Management
Location: London Docklands - Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working four days across a fortnight in the office
As a Transformation Project Manager, you’ll ensure that projects that you are assigned are delivered on time, to an agreed quality and within budget in accordance with our in-house Change Framework.
You will manage and coordinates the day-to-day running of an effective portfolio of transformation projects and initiatives, ensuring controls and governance are being appropriately applied.
Reporting into our newly appointed Head of PMO and Programme Manager, you will be joining at an exciting time for the Service, and you will be responsible for implementing change and delivering projects across people and process projects within the transformation portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Quality check standard project management artefacts
- Ensuring publication of reports to a continually high standard suitable for a variety of audiences
- Liaises with stakeholders and teams throughout the business to gather requirements and establish the structure of reports to ensure consistency
- Work with Project Managers, across the portfolio team and senior colleagues to ensure the capture of accurate information. Analysing and challenging the data provided to ensure reporting is consistent
- Maintains an overall portfolio plan, which must be regularly monitored and updated to ensure that it reflects current project status and includes budget information as appropriate
- Act as a reference point for project queries and information and an advocate for best
- Assist and advise leaders, managers, and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches
- Proactively takes the initiative to ensure co-ordination across different aspects of the transformation portfolio, avoiding clashes or overlap
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities.
You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
- To be successful in this role you’ll need to have project management experience, either as a project manager or in a senior project support role and a demonstrable track record of delivering successful projects and portfolios on time and within budget
- You’ll also need to have experience in creating and maintaining project related documentation, plans and RAID logs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective, influential working relationships with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams at all levels
- Hold a recognised industry certification in project management such as:
- Prince 2 Foundation and or Practitioner
- APM Foundation and or Practitioner
- P3O Foundation and or Practitioner
