With over 50 years of experience in the rail industry, we’ve delivered complex and challenging multidisciplinary projects all over the world. Our expertise extends to depots, operations, maintenance analytics and asset management across all aspects of rail, including transport, technical and sustainability assessments and systems infrastructure.
We are seeking an experienced Track Project Manager to join our Engineering Consultancy Services Business Unit to safely deliver £50-100m portfolios of challenging rail infrastructure projects, for clients such as Network Rail, Transport for London, HS2, Train Operating Companies and many more. You will be responsible for leading a high performing team and will be instrumental in the growth of Egis.

Duties & responsibilities
- Plan and manage a portfolio of track renewal projects throughout the complete project lifecycle on High Speed 1 Infrastructure
- Managing a portfolio of High Output track renewal projects
Logistical Planning; managing critical resources, materials and plant to ensure successful delivery - Planning; Planning of track renewal projects to allow them to be delivered effectively and efficiently
- Attending whiteboards meetings; deconflicting worksites
H&S Documentation; Reviewing H&S safety documentation - Deliver projects in a safe and environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the HS1 NR Governance, current legislation and procedures including HMRI guidance where appropriate.
- Management of the Stage Gate process and managing production of deliverables
- Act upon and discharge of, all Construction Design Management (CDM) obligations for projects as directed.
- Manage the establishment of the initial programme baseline to provide effective measurement and control
- Manage project(s) finances, including risk registers, contingency and efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle
- Review supplier applications for payment and revised forecasts, holding periodic meetings.
- Ensure full control of project delivery via implementation of the required touch points
- Design meetings, IDC/IDR’s and DRN reviews
- Site progress meetings and joint walkouts
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Member of the Association of Project Management (or equivalent)
- A degree or equivalent
Relevant experience in project management and delivering complex rail projects - Experience implementing GRIP, PACE, Pathway or other project management methodologies
Strong NEC3 contract administration experience - Ability to integrate project programmes (P6 and/or MSP)
Strong financial management/control experience - Chartered Project Manager or working towards
- NEC ECC Project Manager Accreditation
- Right to work in the UK
